How to Build and Share a Battle Plan
The Battle Planner is designed for the way alliances are normally managed: one leader or officer enters the team, assigns every player and shares one clear tactic with the alliance. Members do not need individual accounts or need to enter themselves. The plan stays editable until it is ready, can be linked to the correct attendance event and can be exported as a themed image for alliance mail, chat or Discord.
Create the plan around the real event
Open Battle Planner, create a new plan and select the event, team, battle date and server time. Give it a clear title that members will recognise when the exported image is shared.
Battle Planner currently supports Desert Storm and Canyon Storm, but the planner is structured so more battle events can be added later without changing the basic workflow.
- Choose the correct Team A or Team B plan.
- Use the actual battle date; that same date is used when attendance is linked.
- Enter server time rather than local time so every member sees one consistent start time.
Add members only once
Search the alliance member list and click each person to add them to the selected tactical zone. You can also paste names separated by commas or new lines when building a team quickly.
A player can appear in only one assignment within the same plan. Moving or removing a player updates the plan without creating a second copy.
Assign the tactic visually
Select a zone from the list, the mobile zone selector or the map, then click member names to assign them. The list and map remain synchronised, so officers can use whichever view is easiest on their device.
For Desert Storm the standard groups are Full Roamers, Left Side plus Arsenal, Right Side plus Factory, Roamers Until Nuclear Silo and Subs. Each group can also include a manual tactical note.
- Use Full Roamers for players who react to pressure across the battlefield.
- Use Left Side plus Arsenal and Right Side plus Factory for the two fixed sides.
- Use Roamers Until Nuclear Silo for players who move to the centre objective when it opens.
- Use tactical notes for timing, garrison or fallback instructions.
Link the plan to attendance tracking
Select the matching attendance event before saving. The Battle Planner uses the battle date already entered on the plan and adds linked members to that event as Planned.
This removes the need to enter the same team again in Member Event Tracking. After the event, leadership can tap each Planned status and change it to Attended, Did not attend, Excused or AFK. The status can be changed again at any time. Battle Planner will not overwrite a result that has already been updated.
Review, save and adjust
The player counters show the number of main players and subs. Empty zones, extra players and substitutions can be corrected manually before the plan is shared.
Save after significant changes. Duplicate is useful for creating the next Team A or Team B plan from an existing layout, but review the event, date, time and attendance link before using the copy.
Export one clear image
Use Export image when the plan is ready. The export includes the app-themed header, event details, tactical map, assigned names and any zone notes.
Use Copy tactic text when a text-only version is more suitable. The image and copied text are generated from the same saved assignments, reducing the risk of sharing two conflicting versions.
- Share the final image in alliance mail, chat or Discord.
- Replace older versions when assignments change.
- Keep the saved Battle Planner record as the leadership source of truth.
Leadership checklist
- Event, team, battle date and server time are correct.
- No player is missing or assigned to the wrong zone.
- Main-player and substitute limits are respected.
- The matching attendance event is selected.
- Tactical notes are short and unambiguous.
- The final export replaces any older version already shared.
